Amphan is an extreme hurricane( cyclonic storm)  that has impacted Odisha and West Bengal.  The Indian Meteorological Department has issued a hurricane warning for the respective states. The Indian Meteorological Department informed in a tweet about the cyclone has intensified into a super-cyclone. This severe cyclonic storm (Amphan) with a top speed of 230 km per hour is considered to be the most oppressive.

It causes extensive damage to structures/ buildings and also causes the destruction of trees.

Strong winds of 200 km per hour can be seen in Odisha and West Bengal.This is a perilous situation.

Indian sources further say that this has caused a great deal of environmental damage and massive damage to the island. This Amphan cyclonic storm happened on May 16, 2020, in the Bay of Bengal And again 18th of may 2020 this cyclone has turned into a super typhoon. The hurricane (Amphan)is intense and can cause devastation in many parts of West Bengal.
